The Oil and Gas Climate Initiative works to set collective targets and follows through with OGCI Climate Investments, investing in companies like Kairos that have developed innovative methane detection, measurement and mitigation technologies. At the annual meeting in New York, OGCI shared its progress toward its methane intensity target, carbon capture goals for the next year and an update on OGCI Climate Investments, the organization’s $1-billion plus fund having “… nearly doubled the number of investments in promising clean technologies over the year. The fund now has a total of 15 investments in its portfolio. Climate Investments actively supports these companies in deployment and scale-up as well as continuing to search for additional opportunities in its focus areas.” Here at Kairos, we’re honored to keep such company and look forward to continuing our work toward methane detection and reduction.
