Since 2020, Kairos has conducted five surveys of the Permian Basin, including the assets of both our customers and non-customers.
The recently published Permian Basin-Wide Methane Survey Report includes data for the first half of 2022 and covers more than 20,000 square miles of the basin, over 130,000 active wells and over 85,000 miles of natural gas gathering lines. Many of these assets were surveyed more than once, with some areas covered as frequently as twice per month.
The report includes the following insights:
- Upstream and midstream asset performance in 2022 vs. 2020
- Total methane emissions
- Transformative impact and cost savings
